Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and MYDAY DIGITAL (PVT) LTD (“Our Day”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the Our Day mobile application, the digital invitation pages at invite.ourday.lk, and this website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who may use Our Day

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into this agreement.

2. Your account

  • Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in method secure.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • Tell us promptly at contact@ourday.lk if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. The Service

Our Day helps you plan a wedding: budgets, guest lists, RSVPs, digital invitations, tasks, vendors and shared planning with people you invite. The core Service is currently free. We may introduce optional paid features in the future; nothing you already created will be held hostage behind a paywall without clear notice. We may add, change or retire features as the Service evolves.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you add to Our Day — names, photos, budgets, notes, invitation designs (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process and display Your Content solely to operate the Service — for example, syncing your plan to your planning team and rendering your invitation page for guests who receive its link. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted from the Service.

You are responsible for Your Content. Please make sure that:

  • You have the right to upload the photos and information you add;
  • You have the agreement of the people whose details you add — especially guest names and phone numbers — and of anyone appearing in photos you publish on your invitation;
  • Your Content does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law.

5. Digital invitations & guest links

  • Invitation pages are accessible to anyone who has the link. Treat links as private and share them only with intended guests.
  • RSVP responses submitted by your guests become part of your wedding plan's data.
  • Sharing via WhatsApp, SMS or email happens through your own apps and accounts, under those services' terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, or deceptive;
  • Upload content that is abusive, hateful, or infringes others' rights;
  • Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages using invitation links;
  • Probe, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service;
  • Copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the Service except where the law permits.

7. Budgets and vendor information

Budget figures, payment records and vendor details in Our Day are notes you keep for yourself. Our Day does not process payments, does not verify vendors, and does not provide financial advice. Contracts with venues, caterers and other vendors are strictly between you and them.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service — including the app, website, design, logos and invitation templates — belongs to MYDAY DIGITAL (PVT) LTD and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for planning your own events. You may not use our branding without written permission.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (such as our cloud hosting providers, and Google for optional sign-in) and may link to external services (such as WhatsApp). We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

10. Ending the agreement

  • You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete account or via our account deletion page.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, create risk for other users, or where the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as 4, 8, 11 and 12) survive.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. While we work hard to keep Our Day reliable, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost — please keep copies of irreplaceable photos. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MYDAY DIGITAL (PVT) LTD will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (or LKR 10,000 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnity

You will indemnify MYDAY DIGITAL (PVT) LTD against claims arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms, including claims from guests whose information you added without permission.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after the changes apply, you accept them. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
